A Friendship

A friendship.  Is that how you would describe your relationship with Jesus?

Jesus told His disciples: “I no longer call you servants…Instead I have called you friends…”

Would He not want to use the same term for you?  Isn’t that a promise for every disciple of Jesus?

Sadly…some keep their distance – they see Jesus as unapproachable and distant.  Or…they may even feel that He is put off by their imperfections.

 

Not so.  Jesus comes to you as a friend.  “I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”

 

That’s the language of friendship.
