A Clean Slate

A clean slate. Does that describe your conscience?

The Bible calls it a pure heart. “Blessed are the pure in heart…”

But this requires both devotion to God…and discipline of behavior. It’s never-ending.

No one is perfect. Mistakes and failures are inevitable. But the question is – what do you do when missteps happen? Do you deny them or excuse them…hoping that the eraser of time will wipe them away?

That never happens. Undealt with…your failures will only be more deeply rooted and destructive.

For example. A fit of anger…a misrepresentation of facts…a litany of gossip – it’s like a wall covered with graffiti. It’s time for a cleanup.

The heart requires constant monitoring…so you will have a clean slate.
